Mileidys Perez-Alea has over 20 years of experience in translational oncology starting in the research labs of the Centre of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) in Havana. Prior to joining Advanced Biodesign, she was researcher at Aston University and principal investigator at Vall d’Hebron Research Institute.
Holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, a PhD in oncological and experimental haematology from the University of Palermo and a Master on medical scientific liaison.
During her scientific career, she has coordinated multidisciplinary research projects and received several international grants, awards and European Marie Curie fellowships for short-term research stay in both, the public and the private biotechnological sector, across different countries. Her scientific production has been published in more than 25 peer-reviewed articles.
